Sometimes mental illnesses can affect us in a way where we feel like we’re alone in the world or that no one could possibly understand what were going through. Group counseling was created as a way for clients to interact with others who share similar difficulties in life. At Solace Counseling and Consulting, you will be invited into a safe environment where you can share your feelings with other like minded individuals. The groups are led by one of our trained therapists who will serve as a moderator to make certain that every individual has the chance to share if they want. You are also welcome to just listen as each individual is in a different stage of the healing process and can offer guidance on what has helped and hindered their recovery.

What can I expect from a counseling session at Solace Counseling and Consulting LLC?
At Solace Counseling and Consulting LLC you can expect to meet with one of our licensed therapists with years of experience and dually trained in theology and psychology. We will also write out a treatment plan and set goals for what you would like to accomplish in our time together.

How long can I expect treatment to last?
There is no defined timeframe. Everyone is different as has their own unique needs. Therefore, we develop each client's treatment plan on an individual basis. As discussed previously, in our first session we will make a treatment plan based upon the clients needs and estimate how many sessions may be a good fit.
I am afraid others will think I am weak for seeking counseling.
This is often a misconception and in reality seeking counseling is actually a courageous act. Counseling will help you come face-to-face with difficult situations and provide you with the tools to move forward in a healthy way.
