About Congregational Services

Walk alongside

We are called to walk alongside one another in times of need. Counseling is one way to do that.  We seek God to guide us in supporting others who journey toward well-being. As pastoral counselors, we choose to remain open to all available healing resources, especially those connected to personal spirituality.

We are a mental wellness practice that offers counseling, consultation and training services that integrate theology and psychology into sound approaches for empowerment, well being, and growth.  Our network of professionals are licensed and duly trained clinicians with graduate degrees in both theology and psychology.

Pastoral counseling is a therapeutic intervention led by an ordained clergy person skilled at integrating modern psychology with spiritual awareness. Pastoral counseling assists counselees with complex issues such as grief, depression, conflict resolution, family issues, communication skills, trauma and abuse recovery, anxiety, personal growth and development.

Training topics include:

“Pastoral Counselors are ministers or persons endorsed by a religious faith group who are also mental health professionals.”

This training is designed to support church staff and leaders who directly interact with members, visitors, and the community. The goal for this training is to equip these leaders with strategies to respond to others with mental health challenges. The subjects in this training have been developed by a pastoral counselor who has led church counseling ministries for over a decade. Our training will be informative, interactive, and scenario-based and will offer tools to develop your ministry’s compassionate response to others in need.

FAQ - CONGREGATIONAL SERVICES

Yes, we offer a safe space to focus on you.  Counseling is a safe space to look at life’s challenges from all angles and find a healthy path forward. Maybe you are facing relationship challenges. Clergy couples counseling can help you build on the skills you already have and provide some new skills to help you navigate relationship challenges.

We have partnered with several churches to offer an on-site counseling office that meet the needs of the congregations and support the local community.  Churches appreciate having theologically and psychologically trained licensed ministers at the church as an outreach ministry.  Contact us to discuss how we can develop a counseling center for your congregation/community.

Center features typically include:

  • On-site licensed therapist offering sessions
  • Discounted rates for your church/organization members
  • Clinical consultation regarding mental health crises

An on-site counseling center relieves some pastoral care and counseling responsibilities from church staff, especially those requiring more in-depth assessment, intervention, treatment  or long-term care.

We found that some churches and organizations benefit from having access to a therapist whenever an unexpected situation occurs. Having an on-call counselor can help. On-Call counselors are accessible for mental health consults and referrals.

We offer two options for churches and organizations that want immediate access to our counselors.

Monthly Plan:
  • Set recurring monthly fee for a contracted number of counselor consultation calls and referrals (there are plan options).
  • Length of counselor consultation calls subject to user agreement

Per-Call Plan:
  • Set per-call fee for counselor consultation calls and referrals
  • Length of counselor consultation calls subject to user agreement

An on-call counselor service relieves some pastoral care and counseling responsibilities from church staff, especially those requiring more in-depth assessment, intervention, treatment  or long-term care.

We offer a variety of brief and extended workshops. We work with leaders to customize our trainings to meet the needs of each group. Topics can range from self-care/clergy-care, healthy communications, interpersonal wellness, team building to mandated reporting criteria and ministry/life balance.

We have dual-degreed professional counselors (Divinity and Professional Counseling) who can develop workshops, webinars and retreats to meet your needs. We provide highly interactive programs that will engage your group and facilitate team cohesiveness.

Our trainers relieve some leadership training responsibilities for church staff, especially those topics related to staff development, mental health/wellness and congregational care.

Clergy Care and Counseling

Leaders need help too. We help clergy and religious leaders with strategies to navigate work/life/family/ministry balance, self-care, burn-out and spiritual wellness. We understand the demands and pressures you face in your position. We also know that stigma associated with mental health can sometimes delay your decision to seek our counseling services. We understand the unique challenges that clergy face. Our counseling services integrate your spirituality into clinically responsible therapy. We help clients navigate individual, couple and family pressures such as anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal conflict and grief.

We value your privacy. If anonymity is a concern, we offer additional amenities to help protect your confidentiality. Our counselors maintain strict confidentiality with our clients. In addition, we have a few extra features available for high-profile clients. See Zenith Services.

Multiple counseling options. We offer counseling services in our office, online or on-site/mobile  services (some restrictions apply).
