COUNSELING SERVICES

You can schedule an appointment online using our SECURE CLIENT PORTAL or by calling us at 470.701.6793.

Counseling can be defined as “the provision of assistance and guidance in resolving personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties, especially by a professional” (Oxford Dictionary). At Solace Counseling and Consulting LLC, we offer individuals the opportunity to develop sound decision-making skills, effective coping strategies, and healthy interpersonal skills to create empowerment, a sense of well-being, and growth. For more

We offer Individual, Couple, Family, Adolescent, Group, and Premarital counseling along with Consultations, Training, and Clinical Supervisions.

We have three payment options for our counseling sessions.
1. Private Pay -- Clients pay our full per session fee of $150. Clients who prefer not to have their medical records submitted to an insurance panel will prefer this method. When clients private pay for sessions, only the clinician and office administration will have access to session information barring legal mandates.

2. Medical/Behavioral Health Insurance -- We do accept some insurance panels. Currently we accept insurance carriers: Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shields, Aetna, ComPsych and other out-of-network carriers. Contact our office for more details.

3. Sliding Scale -- We do have sliding scale rates available based on family income levels. Session fees range between $65 - $130. Contact our office for more details.

At Solace Counseling and Consulting LLC you can expect to meet with one of our licensed therapists with years of experience and dually trained in theology and psychology. Our sessions begin by gathering personal history and a history of the current issues.  We will discuss the obstacles you are currently facing and discuss strategies to address your concerns. We will also write out a treatment plan and set goals for what you would like to accomplish in our time together.

Sessions are usually 45 to 50 minutes in length. Longer and shorter sessions can be arranged as needed.

There is no defined timeframe. Everyone is different and has their own unique needs. Therefore, we develop each client's treatment plan on an individual basis. As discussed previously, in our first session we will make a treatment plan based upon the clients' needs and estimate how many sessions may be a good fit.

This is often a misconception and in reality seeking counseling is actually a courageous act. Counseling will help you come face-to-face with difficult situations and provide you with the tools to move forward in a healthy way.

We offer Zenith services for our high profile clients who wish to have an additional layer of privacy protection for anonymity. CONGREGATIONAL SERVICES

Yes, we offer a safe space to focus on you.  Counseling is a safe space to look at life’s challenges from all angles and find a healthy path forward. Maybe you are facing relationship challenges. Clergy couples counseling can help you build on the skills you already have and provide some new skills to help you navigate relationship challenges.

Yes, we have partnered with several churches to offer an on-site counseling office that meet the needs of the congregations and support the local community.  Churches appreciate having theologically and psychologically trained licensed ministers at the church as an outreach ministry.  Contact us to discuss how we can develop a counseling center for your congregation/community. Center features typically include:
  • On-site licensed therapist offering sessions
  • Discounted rates for your church/organization members
  • Clinical consultation regarding mental health crises

An on-site counseling center relieves some pastoral care and counseling responsibilities from church staff, especially those requiring more in-depth assessment, intervention, treatment  or long-term care.
We found that some churches and organizations benefit from having access to a therapist whenever an unexpected situation occurs. Having an on-call counselor can help. On-Call counselors are accessible for mental health consults and referrals.

We offer two options for churches and organizations that want immediate access to our counselors. Monthly Plan:
  • Set re-occurring monthly fee for a contracted number of counselor consultation calls and referrals (there are plan options).
  • Length of counselor consultation calls subject to user agreement
Per-Call Plan:
  • Set per-call fee for counselor consultation calls and referrals
  • Length of counselor consultation calls subject to user agreement

An on-call counselor service relieves some pastoral care and counseling responsibilities from church staff, especially those requiring more in-depth assessment, intervention, treatment  or long-term care.

We offer a variety of brief and extended workshops. We work with leaders to customize our trainings to meet the needs of each group. Topics can range from self-care/clergy-care, healthy communications, interpersonal wellness, team building to mandated reporting criteria and ministry/life balance.

We have dual-degreed professional counselors (Divinity and Professional Counseling) who can develop workshops, webinars and retreats to meet your needs. We provide highly interactive programs that will engage your group and facilitate team cohesiveness.

Our trainers relieve some leadership training responsibilities for church staff, especially those topics related to staff development, mental health/wellness and congregational care.

Talking about it can make it better.
